Race rules
- Teams consist of exactly 3 runners.
- Each runner completes one full lap before handing over to the next runner.
- Runners must follow marshal instructions at all times.
- Headphones are not permitted during the race.
- All runners must be aged 18 or over on race day.
- The race director's decision is final on all matters.
Categories
- Male — male at birth
- Female — female at birth
- Mixed — at least one male and one female runner
Medals are awarded to the first team in each category.
The course
The Dino Dash is a relay race through Crystal Palace Park. Each team consists of 3 runners who each complete one lap of the course. The route passes the famous Crystal Palace dinosaur sculptures, starting and finishing on the NSC track.
The course is on park paths — a mix of tarmac and packed gravel, and a short sectioon through the trees. Trail shoes are not necessary but road shoes with some grip are recommended.
On the day
What to bring
- Running kit suitable for the weather
- Running shoes (road shoes fine, some grip helps)
- Water — there will be a water station at the finish
- Your team name — you'll need to check in at registration

- Race briefing: 5 mins before the start
- Race start: 7:30pm
- Prize giving: 8:45pm
Marshals
The course is marshalled by CPFR volunteers. Please follow all marshal instructions. If you see a runner in difficulty, alert the nearest marshal immediately. A Medical Team will be on site.
Weather
The race runs in all reasonable weather conditions. In the event of extreme weather that makes the course unsafe, the race director may postpone or cancel the event. Check the club's social media channels for any last-minute updates on race day.
